About Us

Cedar and Sand started in the middle of an already loud, chaotic, and wonderfully messy life as a family of six with four boys. Between sports, snacks, laundry piles that reproduce overnight, and trying to remember what day it is, starting a business probably should have sounded like a terrible idea. Naturally, we did it anyway.

What started as a small fantasy quickly turned into a real passion after discovering how much we loved creating simple, nourishing skincare made with ingredients we actually recognized and trusted. We became obsessed with learning about traditional tallow skincare, simple ingredients, and products that helped our skin without requiring a chemistry degree to understand the label. 

Now Cedar and Sand is handmade in small batches in Snohomish, WA using grass fed tallow and skin loving ingredients designed to nourish dry, hardworking, and occasionally dramatic skin. Every product is created with care, tested by real life chaos, and made for people who want rich moisture without the weird stuff.

Somehow between raising four boys, surviving everyday family life, and accidentally becoming deeply emotionally attached to beef tallow, we found something we truly love doing.

And honestly, we’re just getting started.
